Alfred DiStefano, M.D.

Dr. DiStefano is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, with a subspecialty certification in hematology and medical oncology. As the founder of Arlington Cancer Center, he believes the best treatment coupled with the best clinicians and caregivers are critical factors in the success of the center. He received his medical degree from State University of New York Downstate Medical Center and completed his residency program at State University of New York at Buffalo. He also completed his hematology fellowship at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Buffalo and medical oncology fellowship at MD Anderson Hospital and Tumor Institute in Houston.

Honors and Awards
Committed to finding a cure for cancer, Dr. DiStefano co-founded the Cancer Research Foundation of North Texas, a non-profit organization dedicated to medical research and education for cancer related diseases. He received the organization’s Torch of Hope in 2000.
